New Tips On Developing Your Intuition

What is intuition?

Wikipedia's definition: Intuition is the ability to acquire knowledge without recourse to conscious reasoning. Different fields use the word "intuition" in very different ways, including but not limited to: direct access to unconscious knowledge; unconscious cognition; inner sensing; inner insight to unconscious pattern-recognition; and the ability to understand something instinctively, without any need for conscious reasoning

Being intuitive or becoming more intuitive is a practice.

Here is a new practice for you: Meditate while looking at the tip of your nose and your eyes half closed. It is the pathway to your third eye and can strengthen and open the third eye (also called the inner eye). It provides perception beyond ordinary sight. It is a practice to develop this practice. I could only do this particular practice for 30 seconds at first. Just look at the tip of the nose, do not think about the tip of the nose. Don't think about anything, just breathe.

As in any meditation, empty your mind. Follow your breath till your mind stops. Feel yourself relax. Check into those places where you usually hold tension. hear the sounds around you then tune into your breath again. Do not think about the breath just do the breath.

Devote time to just stop and listen to your intuition. Take time throughout your day to just stop. It only needs to be a few minutes. Listening to your higher self helps with decision making at any level.

Set an intention. Setting an intention helps direct the meditation. The more precise you can be the more precise your answers will be.

Ask questions within your specific interest in intuition. Again be very precise. Many times we will receive information, then ask for more information. what questions would you ask. Who are you? Why are you telling me this story? What do I see, hear or feel. Or is it a knowingness.

Trust yourself. Trust in yourself is a practice all on its own. How well do you trust yourself..... with practice.

Take notes immediately after meditating, it'll help you remember. Journaling is important for channeling also. You'll be surprised in what pops

Talk through what you're seeing or feeling with a guide, teacher, or instructor. They can answer your questions or concerns and direct you. Guidance is a great thing.

Feeling safe. Many people are fearful to meditate or "open' the door to intuition. They, like myself when I first started was worried about what I would bring into my life. I started with a short prayer to my guides and the benevolent beings to protect me.

Dreaming and dreams. Since dreaming is from an altered state you can gain insights or intuition from altered states. Ask repeatedly as you drift off to sleep "Show me a dream to benefit my life". This phrase may change as you develop this practice. Write down the dreams or immediate thoughts after you awaken.

Creativity. Do an art project. It can be big or brief. Get out the paints or the sculpting tools or just colored pens on a scratch pad. Doodling makes the connection to our gut where creativity is held . Creativity is an open channel to intuition. Scientists know the gut and the brain are strongly connected. There's a movie out called The Gut Our Second Brain.
